STILLS — ongoing.
Once you start writing, it all becomes fiction.
This project began with words written in notebooks: half-thoughts, daily notes, overheard conversations. They were meant to lead somewhere: a story, a poem, a series that would eventually give them a body. Most never did.
I began pairing these fragments with photographs from my family archives. Together, they began to feel like stills from films.
Slowly, my family became the characters. Their gestures remained the same, but the stories changed.
